Need advise! Yesterday found a crack at the side base of my favourite rose, she is over 10yo! Is it salvageable if I tape it or should I be cutting the stems growing from it and trying to root them ? #rose #advice #advice-rose #pleasehelp

@suerichards it's the base of three very big and old stems, you don't think I should tape it at least? Really don't want to lose them.

@bluefox23 that's what I'm thinking! Will read up over the weekend and decide then. They usually don't recommend rooting the old stems but better to root them than lose! Husband got it for me from Holland about 12 years ago and it moved house with us 10 years ago 😁. It started my gardening love!
