Moved the location of this as it was too close to the house and it didn’t do so well and I have now cut it back and am watering it vigorously to try and save it. 😢 #cesarepark

What’s it look like now?

The foliage went brown and dry despite watering it twice a day and a friend came by and told me to cut it right back to the base, which we then did. It’s only sticks now. I am not sure that was wise as no sign of new growth as yet.

Does it get similar or more sun in new location?

It does but a little more wind. It can get windy where we are. @brightcolours

How long has it been since it was transplanted?

@brightcolours - 3 weeks and about a week since it’s been cut right back.

Cutting right back was the only option, best to move plants at the end of winter, climate is very hard at this time of the year to be moving large established plants.

@suemcintosh - thanks Sue. When do you think we may see some new growth?

Post a pic of what it looks like now. And/or flex a stem to see if it’s pliable = alive or brittle = not good. And/or scrape your thumb on bark = green under means sign of life.

@bright colours- will do today. Thank you!

Very definitely alive!!
Just keep the deep watering up to it.
