Secunda Clara is no more. Gah! Here we can see a plant desperate to live: 1. Here we see the stem cut in half, showing the rot and pups forming. 2. Shows a flower forming (this plant is really giving it it’s all! 3. Extent of rot 3/4 way through through the stem. 4. Close up of the pups. 😢

I had tried to have Clara for many times. But they eventually all going this way no matter the effort. Any excess moisture or water on leaves seems to cause this.

@phoebesucculents - I haven’t watered this plant for weeks. But what you are saying got me thinking that she may have gotten some rain through the shade cloth on her leaves. I will pop her replacement in a spot where this will be sure to not happen. Thank you very much. 💖

I haven’t thought of this before, but since they are clones do they carry propagation characteristics with them? Or are regeneration and propagation not genetic traits?

@celerywife If a plant is propagated from a mother plant by cutting or leaves it always carries parent plant characteristics. If grown from seed, some can be much more variable.
