And the one that started it all. My first cactus, bought at Kmart in the early 90's. for 99 cents. The tall one in the back is the original. It's bigger than it appears. All those "pups" are growing out of it's side and about 6 inches is covered up by them. Based on it's growth rate I'd estimate it's at least 35 years old. My best guess on ID is a mammillaria spinosissima ssp spinosissima. This is the parent of my mam seedlings I posted a while back. #cactus #mammillaria #plantid-cactus #id-not
