Made a small 'pond' a few days ago to attract more wildlife into my garden. This IRIS was labelled 'POND IRIS' ....sits just below the water level. Has anyone got any tips re pond life etc ☺🐸🐚

Pond is absolutely fantastic thing in the garden Pauline. It works exactly as you write. It will attract wildlife into your garden. I built my pond almost 20 years ago, putting there just a couple of water plants and fish and was really shocked how quickly it started to live by its own life. There appeared plenty of small aquatic animals, dragonflies, birds, new plants I never planted. Unbelievable. You just have to keep the water healthy, which is sometimes more complicated in very small ones.

Loving the iris! You should try a small canna (in the pond at a shallow point) as a edging plant. I was going To recommend eloidea crispa as an oxygenator but I've just found out its been banned by the alien invasives list....oops! Lol
