Acacia pycnostachya

Bolivia Wattle

Acacias, or wattles, are shrubs and trees found in warm and tropical regions, from the Americas and Europe to Asia and Africa, however, the vast majority of species are native to Australia. They belong to the pea family. They are evergreen plants grown for their attractive foliage and bright yellow blooms. The genus varies in size from small shrups, ideal for containers, to large trees of 10m or more in height. Bolivia Wattle is a magnificent Wattle that grows into a tall, spreading shrub or small tree. The sickle shaped phyllodes are blue-green and complement the golden rod flowers that burst into life in mid-spring. Difficult to source young plants.
