Acis autumnalis is a short bulbous perennial (previously linked to the genus Leucojum) native to the southern areas of Portugal and Spain, as well as Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. It flowers in the autumn, with white bell shaped flowers (with a pinkish hint at the base) which hang above slender grass like foliage. The outer three petals are toothed.
