A clump-forming perennial with pinnate (leaves identical at opposite sides of the stem) leaves divided into ovate, deeply-toothed, bright green leaflets. 'Chocoholic' has bronze-purple leaves, and, from late Summer into Autumn, spires of fragrant, mauve-pink, "bottlebrush" flowers, that lighten to white as they mature.
