Bugle 'Sugar Plum'

This is a fast growing ground covering plant but could become invasive if not kept under control, it spreads by putting out runners. The glossy leaves are oval in shape with some varieties being a mid green, but others ranging to a dark green with purple markings. The flowers grow on short spikes. 'Sugar Plum, has young leaves that are dark red to purple, turning grey-green,with narrow, irregular, cream edges as they mature. In late Spring and early Summer, spikes of deep blue flowers appear.
