Anigozanthos are native to Australia. They have narrow, strap-shaped leaves, and upright stems that bear clusters of tubular, hooded, hairy flowers from mid / late Spring to early / mid Summer. In cooler climes these plants are best-suited to growing in a conservatory or cool green-house. 'Bush Blitz' bears orange flowers with dark red tints. The shape of the flower is considered to resemble the paw of a Kangaroo. 'Bush Blitz' flowers a little bit later than other Bhsg Gem varieties. but flowers for a long time.
