Anigozanthos 'Bush Tenacity'

Kangaroo Paw 'Bush Tenacity' (Bush Gems series)

Anigozanthos are native to Australia. They have narrow, strap-shaped leaves, and upright stems that bear clusters of tubular, hooded, hairy flowers from mid / late Spring to early / mid Summer. In cooler climes these plants are best-suited to growing in a conservatory or cool green-house. 'Bush Tenacity' is a compact kangaroo paw that acts as a great colour contrast in multiple plantings. Produces a profusion of unusual gold and green furry flowers and is particularly attractive in larger patio pots. Frost tender so use as summer patio or conservatory plants in temperate climates.

Flowering

From Mid Spring TO Mid Summer

Normally flowers appear from mid to late Spring through to early to mid Summer

Planting

From Mid Spring TO Late Spring

After all risk of frost plant in full or part sun position with fertile, well drained soil. If drainage is poor, such as in most clay soils, break down the clay with gypsum or build up the bed to provide good drainage.
