Columbine Nora Barlow in the GardenTags plant encyclopedia

Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata 'Nora Barlow'

Columbine 'Nora Barlow'

Flower heads in early summer made up of white and pink petals. To prevent self seeding, flower heads should be cut close to the ground but can look lovely if allowed to naturalise amongst other plants to form a cottage garden. Though perennial, cultivars may be short-lived and thus best treated as biennials. Spent flower-heads should be removed to prevent the plant going to seed.
