Masterwort 'Ruby Star'

Clump-forming herbaceous perennials with 3-lobed glossy leaves and branching stems. The flower-heads are excellent for fresh and dried flower arrangements. The mid-summer blooms are produced in star-like whorls of papery bracts in a range of colours - creams, pinks, greens, reds and plums. Astrantia Major usually grow to around 60 cms. 'Ruby Star' has dark green leaves and purple-flushed stems which bear umbels of flowers which are dark red, surrounded by black-tipped dark red bracts.
