Planting
From Early Spring TO Early Spring
Plant aubretia in free draining, preferably limy soil, in full sun or partial shade. They can be planted in cracks or crevices in walls and paving but not where they can be walked on. Pot up plug plants into 9cm pots and grow aubretia on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days.
Propagation
From Early Spring TO Early Autumn
Sow seed in early spring or, take semi-ripe cuttings of named cultivars in summer or autumn, or divide plants in late summer or early autumn. Move self sown seedlings and replant in autumn.
