Propagation by seed
From Early Spring TO Early Spring
Seed - sow in situ in early spring or in the autumn. Only just cover the seed. Germination should take place within 2 weeks.
Planting
From Mid Spring TO Late Spring
Young oats, grown from seed can be planted either in autumn (for late summer harvest) or in the spring (for early autumn harvest). Plant in full sun in a moist, light and free draining soil. It will thrive in acid, basic or alkaline soils.
