White or pink-tinted flowers appear in early summer on woolly stems above the mounds of grey-green leaves. This upright subshrub looks great in a sunny, well-drained gravel garden, surrounded by other drought-loving plants. Closely related to the 'false dittany', it may not survive in areas with cold, wet winters.

Propogation by cuttings

Take cuttings, about 3 inches long from lateral shoots in mid-summert and insert in equal parts of peat and sand in a cold frame. Plant out the rooted cuttings the following spring.
