Propagating by seed

From Late Winter TO Late Summer

Sow seeds from early Spring until late Summer for harvesting from Summer right through to Winter (depending on the varieties grown - and turnip tops (leaves) can be harvested through Spring. Sow seeds in well-manured soil as soon as the soil is workable. Choose a sunny site, and sow in rows at least 1' apart, with the seeds sown thinly at a depth of 1/2"

Thinning plants

From Mid Spring TO Mid Summer

Thin seedlings to 6" apart for early varieties and 9" apart for maincrop varieties.
