Brugmansia x candida 'Double White'
Angel's Trumpet 'Double White'
Brugmansia is an evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub. It sports large, trumpet-shaped flowers, which are often highly fragrant. Although not fully hardy, they can be positioned out during the frost-free summer months. Once classified as Datura, however that name is now used only for certain annual or short-lived plants with less pendulous flowers. 'Double White' bears white, fragrant, ruffled double flowers that are "hose in hose" - that is, with each set having a tube to the base of the flower. The foliage of this cultivar, unlike others, has soft gray hairs. It is thought it is a hybrid between Brugmansia aurea and B. versicolor. It benefits from being cut back hard in Spring
