Butterfly Bush 'Buzz Midnight'
There are over 100 varieties of deciduous and evergreen Buddleja or Buddleia shrubs although some are referred to as trees. It is a fast growing plant with arching branches and long cylindrical scented flower clusters that can be white, yellow, pink, red blue or purple, butterflies love them. Leaves are grey/green and shaped like lances. The 'Buzz™ series of buddleias are compact, and early-flowering. 'Midnight' has tapering spikes of fragrant dark purple flowers from late Spring to early Autumn.

Propagation by cuttings
From Mid Summer TO Early Autumn
Semi hard wood cuttings are taken from the current years growth from late summer to mid autumn the bottom of the cuttings is hard and soft on the top. With a sharp knife take a cutting of about 14cms, remove lowest leaves, dip end into rooting hormone, and place round the edge of a pot filled with a suitable compost, water well, they must remain moist till rooted, place under glass but in semi shade.
