C. transnokoens is an early spring flowering species camellia. It produces pink-tipped buds which open into clusters of small, white flowers which have a long cylinder of gold-tipped stamens. It has bronze-coloured new growth in the spring, turning dark green as the season advances. Needs protection from severe frosts below -5C.

From Late Autumn TO Early Spring
Plant container grown plants in late autumn or early spring. If growing in a container use ericaceous compost.
Propagation by cuttings
From Mid Summer TO Early Autumn
Semi hard wood cuttings are taken from the current years growth from late summer to mid autumn the bottom of the cuttings is hard and soft on the top. With a sharp knife take a cutting of about 14cms, remove lowest leaves, dip end into rooting hormone, and place round the edge of a pot filled with a suitable compost, water well, they must remain moist till rooted, place under glass but in semi shade.
