Chamaedorea seifrizii
Bamboo Palm
Chamaedorea seifrizii can be grown in the garden in frost free climates. It is one of the best palms to grow indoors as it is quite tolerant of low light and dry air. The stems are ringed similarly to bamboo and are topped by an open crown of feathery leaves. To grow indoors, position towards the rear of a conservatory where there is bright indirect light. Maintain fairly high humidity to keep it looking lush and healthy.

Planting
From Early Spring TO Late Autumn
Any decent potting mix will suffice (soil or soilless). If growing as a houseplant, keep in mind that these are not demanding for the grower when it comes to providing enough light. Any shaded type room will suffice with indirect sunlight. Although tolerant of dry air, mist occassionally to keep the palm looking lush.
