Clerodendrum paniculatum

Pagoda Flower

The pagoda flower, (Clerodendrum paniculatum), is also known as hanuman kireetam. It is one of the most spectacular Clerodendrums. Grow in full to partial sun in a rich, average to moist soil with good drainage. It is not as invasive as other species of Clerodendrum. Best to cut back the stems after flowering and dig out suckering plants. It is a short-lived variety so retain the suckers to provide new plants. Do not allow the roots to dry out completely over the winter.
