Tickseed 'Mardi Gras'

Coreopsis can be either Annuals or short lived perennials, depending on the variety. Mound forming with thin green leaves, sporting masses of flowers in summer. A sun-loving, drought-tolerant plant which attracts flying insects. Varieties of Coreopsis vary in height from .45m to 1.3m in height and the dwarf forms grow 10 only 15 - 30cm. 'Mardi Gras' flowers have an unusual starry shape with spreading, pointed petals held at up to 50cm. Flowers are yellow with a red centre and dark red disc.
