Coreopsis can be either annuals or short lived perennials, depending on the variety. Mound forming with thin green leaves, sporting masses of flowers in summer. A sun-loving, drought-tolerant plant which attracts flying insects. Varieties of Coreopsis vary in height from .45m to 1.3m in height and the dwarf forms grow 10 only 15 - 30cm. 'Sunset Strip' sports golden-yellow flowers with bright orange-red streaks that radiate out from the eye. Blooms early summer through late autumn.
