Crocosmia have bright green, sword-like foliage and wiry, branching stems and carrying buds which open to create a splash of colour in the late summer. They grow quickly and form clumps which can become invasive thus need dividing regularly. Crocosmia Twilight Fairy Gold is a recent introduction, bred in the USA. It is fairly low growing, and has golden yellow flowers which arrive late summer. Fully hardy.
