Dwarf compact habit. Yellow flowers late spring - early summer followed by red berries. Caution, toxic if eaten. Daphne shrubs rarely get taller than a four feet tall. they are slow growing and shouldn't need pruning. They are evergreen in all but the coolest climates. They have a mounding form and thick leathery sword-shaped leaves. They are grown for their clusters of fragrant pink, yellow or white flowers. They tend to be short-lived plants.

Plant out container grown plants in early spring adding plenty of well rotted compost or manure into the soil, water well.
Propagation by cuttings
From Mid Summer TO Early Autumn
Semi hard wood cuttings are taken from the current years growth from late summer to mid autumn the bottom of the cuttings is hard and soft on the top. With a sharp knife take a cutting of about 14cms, remove lowest leaves, dip end into rooting hormone, and place round the edge of a pot filled with a suitable compost, water well, they must remain moist till rooted, place under glass but in semi shade.
