Original:'Carol Mackie' is a rounded shrub that mature to about 1m tall, with a slightly greater spread. They bear fragrant, white to light pink tubular flowers in clusters. The flowers will be succeeded by small red berries. It sports lovely variegated foliage. New:Daphne shrubs rarely get taller than a four feet tall. they are slow growing and shouldn't need pruning. They bloom in winter to late spring and are evergreen in all but the coolest climates. They have a mounding form and thick leathery sword-shaped leaves. They are grown for their clusters of fragrant pink, yellow or white flowers. They tend to be short-lived plants.

Propagation by cuttings
From Mid Summer TO Early Autumn
Semi hard wood cuttings are taken from the current years growth from late summer to mid autumn the bottom of the cuttings is hard and soft on the top. With a sharp knife take a cutting of about 14cms, remove lowest leaves, dip end into rooting hormone, and place round the edge of a pot filled with a suitable compost, water well, they must remain moist till rooted, place under glass but in semi shade.
