Planting Outdoors
From Early Spring TO Mid Spring
Plant out container grown trees in spring when they are dormant. Dig in plenty of compost or well rotted compost before planting, water in well, and mulch to retain moisture. Water regularly in dry periods to stop the soil drying out.
Propagation by seed
From Early Spring TO Late Spring
Sow seed in containers or seed bed and transplant out when well rooted. The nuts need to be ripened to expose the seed. Soak the nuts till they open.
