Hedera helix 'Curly Locks'

English Ivy 'Curly Locks'

Hedera helix 'Curly Locks' has leaves that are five-lobed, dark green with ruffled edges. Curly Locks is more of an erect climbing ivy and will attempt to grow in a more upright projection. It prefers medium to bright filtered light, and soil that is evenly moist. Curly Locks is hardy in USDA zones 3-10. Able to withstand most climate conditions, it thrives as long as it has adequate water. Like all English ivy plants, it has the potential to become invasive if not properly contained to an individual garden space, and can overtake other plants and structures by climbing atop them and rooting in place. This can result in harm to native plant life and structural damages respectively. It is therefore not recommended to let it climb on trees or over boundary fences outdoors, and is strongly encouraged exclusively for indoor gardening purposes.
