Heuchera is commonly known as Alumroot or Coral bells and is a frost hardy perennial grown primarily for its attractive, evergreen foliage. They can be found with varying leaf sizes in many different, stunning, colours and shades.They produce small flowers on nodding stems some being taller than others. If planted in shade, the foliage will be more pronounced than if they are in full sun. 'Purple Petticoats' has purple/green wrinkled foliage with lighter purple undersides. Tall stems bear small cream flowers from late Spring through the Summer.
