Hippeastrum 'Blossom Peacock'
Amaryllis is commonly used as a name for cultivars of the Hippeastrum genus, sold mainly as flowering bulbs, particularly in late autumn for flowering at Christmas in the northern hemisphere.These large bulbs are related to Amaryllis, but have been cultivated to grow indoors and bloom in Winter months. The colours and shape of the flowers are more varied than the outdoor Amaryllis. They have strap-like leaves and very large, colourful, trumpet-shaped flowers atop a leafless stem. 'Blossom Peacock' is part of the Double Galaxy Group of Hippeastrums and has large double white flowers with a rose-pink edge.
