Hosta go completely dormant in the autumn, and the dying foliage can be removed any time before mid-spring. Easily divided in either spring or autumn. 'Autumn Frost' has heart-shaped blue leaves with a wide gold margin that turns cream with maturity. young plants already show the very wide edge of this 'First Frost' sport. It bears lavender flowers
