Siberian Iris 'Butter and Sugar'

Siberian iris is a tall rhizomatous herbaceous perennial. It has narrow grass like foliage and tall stems which bear flowers in Summer. 'Butter and Sugar' has bicolored flowers of buttery-yellow and white, and repeat blooms. Excellent at the waterside, or in a moist border.

Planting Outdoors Spring

Spring flowering bulbs are usually planted in Autumn, but can also be planted in Spring, although they won't bloom until the following Spring. Make sure bulbs are healthy before planting them (i.e. that the bulb is firm to the touch, and not showing signs of mildew). The bulbs can be planted outdoors, or in containers. Plant the bulbs in well-draining soil or compost. As a general rule when planting bulbs, they should be planted at a depth of three times the height of the bulb.
