Knautia macedonica 'Thunder and Lightning'
Macedonian Scabious 'Thunder and Lightning'
Knautia Macedonica is a clump forming perennial. Mid-green leaves are lobed and the long lasting flowers, resembling pincushions, are borne on slender tallish stems. Thunder and Lightning is a new variegated variety which forms a low mound of light green leaves with creamy-white margins. Tall and branching, wiry stems bear loads of small, reddish-purple flowers throughout the early summer and into autumn.
