Laburnum x watereri 'Vossii'

Voss's Laburnum 'Vossii'

Laburnum trees are deciduous. They have yellow pea-flowers in pendulous leafless racemes, up to 40cm long in spring, which makes them very popular garden trees. The fruit develops as a pod and is extremely poisonous. Laburnum species and hybrids are cultivated as ornamental trees for gardens. 'Vossii' is a medium size tree with magnificent cascading golden yellow flowers.

Planting young plants

From Early Spring TO Early Spring

Laburnum trees will grow well in almost all soils but, like many trees, do not do well in water-logged ground. Also, it is wise to plant them away from areas near to fish ponds as they will almost certainly poison any fish. Avoid planting in areas where children play for the same reason. They will grow in sun to partial shade will but produce the best flowers in full sun.
