Sweet Pea 'Matucana'

A popular annual climbing plant with beautifully fragrant flowers that come in many different colours, from white, shades of pink and red, salmon, purple, blue and bi-coloured. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It needs supporting, growing up to 2 meters in height. They produce tendrils, and can be grown among shrubs, trellis or netting, where they can support themselves. 'Matucana' has bi-coloured blue and wine-red flowers that are highly fragrant.

Propogation by seed

Easily grown from seed, either directly into the soil in early Spring, or sown in the greenhouse and transplanted as young plants. The seeds benefit from pre-soaking or chipping with a sharp blade.
