Leucophyllum frutescens

Texas Sage 'Heavenly Cloud'

Texas Sage, or Texas Barometer Bush, is a drought tolerant evergreen shrub with lavender blooms in the Summer. Commonly known as Texas sage, it is not a true sage. It requires minimal water, is easily shaped into hedges, and blooms over the entire surface. A number of popular cultivars are available. 'Heavenly Cloud' is a hybrid between Leucophyllum frutescens 'Green Cloud' and Leucophyllum laevigatum. Mostly evergreen, it is a fast-growing shrub with medium green leaves and lavender flowers when the humidity and heat are high
