Lilium leichtlinii

 

Lily (Species) Leichtlin's Lily

Tall, flowering perennials up to 60-80 cm. in height. A single, unbranched stem from a bulb with narrow, pointed leaves. Flowers are large and often fragrant, and in a range of colours. Flowers have six petals and prominent stamens. Lilium leichtlinii is an asiatic lily species native to Japan. It grows to over a metre tall, with deep maroon red slender stems and dark green long narrow leaves. Petals are yellow, spotted with purple.
