Pearl Bluebush

Maireana species are shrubs or semi-shrubs endemic to Australia, mostly in arid areas. Maireana Sedifolia is an evergreen shrub, reputed to live up to 300 years, from Western Australia. Grown for its grey-silvery foliage, its leaves are 4-10mm long, succulent and covered in tiny white hairs. Flowers are paired, pale pink to tan and barely noticeable.

Seed germinate readily, but lose their viability within 1 or 2 years, so it is best to sow seeds soon after they are ready for collection. The optimum germination temperature for germination is around 18-22°C
