Cultivars of this species are grown as annual or biennial bedding plants, or for cut flowers. 'Pillow Talk' produces very sweet-scented, waxy-white blossoms, that fade to pale pink, from early Summer to early Autumn over thick rosettes of silver-grey, strap-shaped leaves
