This melampodium sports daisy-like flowers (to 1” wide) with yellow rays and darker yellow centers from spring to autumn on plants growing to 60cm tall. Drought tolerant plant. Plant en masse in a well-drained border or use in a rock garden.

Planting young plants

From Early Spring TO Early Spring

Prefers sandy soils and gravel mulch; don't plant it in clay. It thrives in low fertility, well-drained soil. It is best planted en masse, in full sun and is well suited to the back of a rockery.

Melampodium have a long flowering season, and bear their yellow or white flowers from Spring right through until cold weather in Autumn or Winter
