Monarda - or Bee Balm, or Bergamot - is a tall, upright growing flowering perennial, with flower heads that consist of many tubular flowers that are a magnet for bees. Leaves are mid green and aromatic. 'Leading Lady Lilac' is an early-flowering, shorter variety. The flowers, as the name suggests, are lilac-coloured, in bloom from early Summer to mid Summer
