Peacock Iris is now a critically endangered species in its native South Africa. The foliage and flowers emerge winter to spring and they are dormant through summer. Plant in hummus rich soil, in full sun to light afternoon shade. Water in and keep moist during active growth, and relatively dry during dormancy.

Peacock Iris have beautiful large white blooms with a deep iridescent blue eye on each petal. Blooms in late summer to Autumn.

From Early Spring TO Mid Spring
Plant in early Spring. Prefers to be grown in the garden rather than in a pot. Likes a full sun to partly shaded position, and must have a well drained soil.
