Myrrhis odorata
Myrrhis is an aromatic herbaceous perennial herb that has fern-like leaves. In early Summer it bears umbels of small white flowers that are followed by aniseed-scented fruits
Flowering
From Mid Spring TO Early Summer
Umbels of starry white flowers appear in mid to late Spring
Propagating by seed
From Early Autumn TO Mid Autumn
Sow directly into a well-prepared seedbed in Autumn, and thin the plants to 25cm as they grow. The seedlings can be transplanted in the Spring. Alternatively keep the seed for 4 weeks in the fridge and then sow one seed per pot in Spring. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, plant them outside after all risk of frost has passed.
Planting
From Mid Spring TO Late Summer
Plant seedlings out after all risk of frost has passed. Choose a site with dappled shade, and moist, moderately fertile, free-draining soil. Space the plants at 24"
