Planting young plants
From Early Spring TO Early Spring
Plant pot grown young plants in full sun to part shade in any well-drained soil. Needs no special care to thrive however, it does put out suckers thus you may wish to restrict root growth.
Propagation by cuttings
From Early Autumn TO Mid Autumn
In autumn, take 3-4 inch cuttings of lateral shoots with a heel and insert them in equal parts peat and sand in a cold frame. Transfer the rooted cuttings to a nursery bed the following spring and grow on for two or three years before planting out in early spring.
