Light green, flat, oblong, lateral joints, growing 2 to 5 inches long, branch from the slender stem. In summer the yellow, bell-shaped, large flowers are borne singly on the stem tips and then produces purplish-violet fruit. This genus has the largest membership of sun loving species.
