These plants form a clump as they get older and flowers that are singles, semi double and multi petalled range from white through to red. Leaves are simple, shiny and mid to dark green in colour. There is also a Japanese tree peony which grows taller. 'Lady Alexandra Duff' has scented, semi-double flowers which are blush pink at first. They fade to white with age. The flower stems are strong. Mid season.
