This is a sturdy plant with really deep blood red flowers. They have large cup shaped guard petals and a centre of simarly coloured petaloids. A very early flowering peony, useful for stretching the season. Grows to about 90cms in height.

Make a hole more than large enough for the plant add plenty of well rotted compost or manure and mix with the soil before planting approximately 2 inches below the surface, water in well.
