Papaver orientale is a perennial poppy which from which, many cultivars have become available and come in a variety of flowering colours such as reds, oranges, whites and pinks. They can be doubles or singles with dark purple/black centers and with bright silver-green foliage. 'Coral Reef' has bright green foliage with large, ruffled, dusky pink flowers with a deep purple center.

Sow seed on compost and cover lightly with sifted compost. Keep moist. Be warned: the seed is like dust! For a longer flowering period, sow in succession, and you can get a display into late Summer. Alternatively, the seed can be sown direct into soil that as been dug over.
