Poppy 'Ooh La La'
Favourites of rock and cottage gardens, poppies range from short-lived annuals to evergreen perennials. Poppies are sun loving and are ideally suited to wildflower gardens with well drained soil. Some varieties are great for filling gaps in herbaceous borders. They are graceful plants with flowers that look like crepe in shades of white, pink, yellow, orange, red and purple, they can be singles, semi-doubles or doubles. 'Ooh La La' features double, red poppy flowers.

Sow seed on compost and cover lightly with sifted compost. Keep moist. Be warned: the seed is like dust! For a longer flowering period, sow in succession, and you can get a display into late Summer. Alternatively, the seed can be sown direct into soil that as been dug over.
